Join us for a panel conversation about the modern-day "lifeboats" that systemically save or don't save lives during crisis. How do we still see power, privilege and class impacting our lives today? How are they still factors on who lives and who dies?

  • Dr. Rachel Ida Buff, Historian and Director of the Cultures and Communities Program at UWM
  • Lorraine Lathen, President of Jump at the Sun Consultants, LLC.
  • Melissa Vartanian, Milwaukee Rep Managing Director; Great Grandfather was a Titanic survivor
  • Dr. Martha Barry, Moderator, Chief Racial Justice Officer at YWCA
