Donor Privacy Policy

Revised 6/1/16

To support the artistic mission of Milwaukee Repertory Theater (Milwaukee Rep), Milwaukee Rep relies on both earned revenue from ticket sales as well as the generous contributions of its many individual and institutional supporters. Milwaukee Rep values its relationships with all its donors, vendors, and collaborators. To that end, Milwaukee Rep is committed to preserving and respecting those relationships by protecting their confidentiality and their rights of privacy.

DONORS
Regardless of the method of contribution, Milwaukee Rep will treat all contact and donation information as confidential. This includes banking, security, credit card, and other transaction mechanisms where all will be treated with upmost confidentiality and privacy in our database. Basic contact information such as name, address, phone numbers, and email addresses are gathered and kept in our secure database, and these practices comply with all 501(c)3 and IRS regulations. Contact information is used to track and analyze donor data and to inform donors about programs, activities, and events sponsored by Milwaukee Rep, as well as to properly comply with recognition practices including gift acknowledgements and tax receipts for contributions.

Each transaction between Milwaukee Repertory Theater and a donor is respected and kept in strict confidence by Milwaukee Rep. Any information given to and gathered by Milwaukee Rep is only shared with various staff members and trustees on a “need to know” basis. Milwaukee Rep does not share any confidential donor information with third parties without permission.

VENDORS
All transactions are confidential between Milwaukee Rep and our various vendors.

COLLABORATORS
To further its artistic mission, Milwaukee Rep creates and maintains robust relationships with many organizations on a local, regional, and national basis. These relationships are equally valued, respected, and maintained by Rep staff, and volunteers.

Milwaukee Rep does not sell, share, or trade the confidential information of its donors, vendors or collaborators with any other organization or entity without specific permission by these partners.
