Meet our Steel Magnolias Team Truvy Award honorees and honorable mentions!

Nominated by community members, these salons embody the love, joy and friendship we see in the play, Steel Magnolias. Salons were chosen based on their strong dedication to their clients and community, as well as a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. These amazing local businesses will be recognized throughout the run of Steel Magnolias, as we celebrate the enduring friendships built inside Truvy's Beauty Salon.

Honorees and honorable mentions were selected by a committee of local leaders including Alexa Alfaro (Co-Owner of Meat on the Street), TMJ4 Morning Blend host Molly Fay, community leader Cecilia Gilbert, Critic Ryan Jay, activist Katie Avila Loughmiller, Assistant Deputy Director of WHEDA May yer Thao and host of Our Issues Milwaukee Andrea Williams along with Milwaukee Rep staff members James Anthony, Laura Ellingen and Jenny Toutant.
