Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s annual Curtain Call Ball is its largest event of the year, gathering over 450 guests to enjoy lively auctions, gourmet dining, and riveting entertainment. The gala event provides essential funds for Milwaukee Rep’s artistic and educational programming. As a non-profit organization, Milwaukee Repertory Theater relies on the continued support of corporations and individuals to ensure it is providing the highest caliber work to the region.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s 2025 Gala, themed “Curtain Call at the Speakeasy: A Theatrical Roar in the ‘20s,” will transform the 7th floor of The Pfister into an immersive 1920s experience. Inspired by the era's glamour and intrigue, the event will feature music of the era, art deco decor, and elements reminiscent of hidden speakeasies. Guests will enjoy a night of entertainment, mingling, and fundraising in a setting that captures the vibrancy of the Roaring Twenties with a theatrical twist.

Attire

To fully embrace the spirit of the 1920s, we encourage guests to showcase ensembles that radiate elegance and flair:

For women: Flapper dresses featuring fringe or beading, paired with glamorous jewelry and artful headpieces. Consider adding classic accessories such as long gloves, feather boas, statement handbags, or even a long cigarette holder to complete the look.
For men: Channel the dapper charm of the era with sharp pinstripe suits, suspenders, wingtip shoes, and bold ties or bowties. Accentuate the look with a fedora, pocket watch, or a (faux) cigar, exuding the sophisticated yet slightly rebellious vibe of the Speakeasy underworld.
